According to Christian belief, Lord Jesus was born in Bethlehem. He was the son of Father Joseph & Mother Mary. When they arrive in city, the inn had no rooms so they were given stable. Lord Jesus born in the manger of stable with angels proclaiming this news to shepherds who spread the news in city.

The month and date of Jesus’ birth are unknown, but by the by the early-to-mid 4th century the Western Christian Church had placed Christmas on December 25 according to Georgian calendar which then accepted in East. However some Eastern Christian Churches celebrates the festival December 25 of the older Julian calendar, which is actually January 7 in Gregorian calendar.


When the church was settling this date they probably wanted the date to coincide with existing pagan festivals honoring Saturn (the Roman god of agriculture) and Mithra (the Persian god of light).
