After giving the test Captaincy in 2014, Mahendra Singh has now steps down from the limited over captaincy. Yes, he announced news of leaving the ODI & T20 captaincy. He informed BCCI that he wished to step down as the captain of the Indian cricket team from the limited overs formats of the game, said a statement from the Board.

The 35-year-old from Ranchi played 283 ODIs and 199 of them as captain. He has played the most matches as captain from India and is 3rd highest after Ricky Ponting (Australia) and Stephen Fleming(New Zealand).
